A GOOD THING IS GOOD ENOUGH TO MAKE ANOTHER GOOD THING BEST
!!! History = hi! story !!!
Yes. History is a very interesting science. Many
people think that History is all about reading and cramming heaps of books. Stories!
As already said, History is a Science and very technical in its approach. Every
theory brought forward undergoes several ifs, buts and checks before it is publicly accepted. All the facts and figures are a result of several
excavations, researches, analyses and brain-storming debates. It is very modern
and advanced in its presentation. It is miles away from fabrication and
misrepresentation. If something is fake or suppressed, it is not History. Therefore, History is a pure and comprehensive study. It is not just a
chronological sequence of events or a silly story. It is an old story with new
approach that requires intelligence, patience and perseverance to be
understood.
History demands Time and Dedication. It is not like
those market-oriented programs that will fetch you a job after a couple of
years. It is like being lost in worship. Once you carry promising researches and enlightening seminars, you are known by one and all. People throw more
and more questions at you and you quench their thirst with your encompassing
knowledge backed by honest research.
History scholars are very rare and looked upon as Angels of Knowledge. If you want to be a civil-servant/ researcher/ professor, History is the best option. History is a story which is very near to truth (but not necessarily the truth) and 100% scientific in its nature. The problem is not with History; it is the Pedagogy that spoils the prospects and interests of an enthusiastic disciple pursuing History. Moreover, lack of encouragement and financial constraints have restricted this practical subject to boring lectures and dark libraries!!!
