P1: POWER PACKED PRESENTATIONS 2 Influence the World: BASIC FACTS

   
   Everybody knows about 'The Glass is half-filled' and 'The Glass is half-empty' perspective. Both the statements are true, but the first one is 'positive' and hence, can be called a 'Presentation'. The remaining one is just a fact without result-oriented potential. A 'Presentation' brings results and showcases your mental and physical faculty in a better way. Most of us believe that the term 'Presentation' means an assortment of PowerPoint slides, a Projector, a black Laptop, a mess of colourful Cables, Pamphlets, a Microphone, An air-conditioned Conference Room with atleast two podiums and infinite chairs, an over-enthusiastic Speaker and panicky volunteers and a 'disciplined' Audience. However, believe it or not, your every public apprearance is a kind of 'Performance' or 'Presentation'. Precisely, everything that is 'non-individual' is a Presentation. Truth, Honesty, Wisdom and Righteousness are subjects of 'personal attainment' and the world is not directly concerned with them. Such qualities should appear in your final Presentation.


   If all that matters is Presentation, what about 'Truth, Honesty, Righteousness' and similar values? This is a very critical and analytical question. To understand the underlying point all you need is an 'open mind' and some patience. First, the world's most true, honest or righteous person is not the richest or the most talked about person. Unfortunately or fortunately, this is true! Second, Truth or Honesty seldom wins. There is no one-to-one correspondence between 'Truth and Honesty' and 'Success and Money'. Whatever is portrayed in movies is just an attempt to 'please the popular culture'. Nobody on this planet is on a lookout for the most Righteous Person in existence. Yes! Reality Bites. However, this doesn't mean that Truth, Honesty and Righteousness have been discarded. We should definitely strive to attain these 'real' values. The only point being made here is that these qualities are surely not the 'most wanted' or the 'most rewarded' ones. If you are a 'company', the world is a 'consumer'. A consumer is not concerned with the 'factory and labourers' of a company. All that matters is the 'Finished Product'.



   The most important thing for you is 'you' yourself. Similarly, the most interesting thing for the world is the 'world' itself. The world is not concerned with your set of likes and beliefs. What pleases you and what hurts you is no business of the world. If you have something that you can 'offer for the sake of the world', only then the world will look towards you. Again, the world is not at all interested in knowing 'your background' or the conditions responsible for your present status. All they want is the 'fruit' or 'results'. The process, circumstances, rehearsals, your learning experiences, failures, several resultless attempts, grievances and all other 'back-end' elements take the backseat here. Therefore, the Final Presentation or Performance or Product is a positive action that results in What is Desirable. Hence, you should keep in mind that you are your own 'Brand Manager', your individual acts are your 'Rehearsals' and all public activities of yours are your 'Advertisements'. Presentations are always result-oriented Affirmative Actions. What is Negative could be anything, but surely not a power-packed Performance.
